Yuki Harada's One Million Seeings (2019) will be included in Collection Exhibition 2026-I, opening June 27 at the Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art.
Following Collection Exhibition 2025-III (finished in June 7), Harada’s work continues its presence in the museum's collection exhibitions.
One Million Seeings (2019) is a video work documenting the artist's act of seeing photographs he collected that "have nowhere to go”—over the course of twenty-four hours. This is an attempt to create a retreat for images that were once disposed of. The first in the series, filmed at KEN NAKAHASHI, it featured the artist himself.
It is also the first work by Harada to be acquired by the museum.
We hope you will have the opportunity to see it.
